Best Practices for Brides-to-be

At RCMakeovers, we don't just do makeup, we live it with unfaltering accountability. As part of our #bridal #makeup discussion guide, we do a lot of consulting and sharing best-practices with the brides to be. After all You do it Once, You Must DO IT RIGHT.

Prepping you for that awesome makeup

Marriages are special for everyone. These are events that happen once in a life-time for most of us. Beside the tom-tom, the glamor, the hullaballoo, the madness, its quintessential that #brides look the best on this particular day(s). As a professional #makeupartist, I have had the opportunity to consult many brides and grooms on best-practices to follow prior to the date of their marriage.

We strongly recommend not-to do anything significantly different then their regular routine. Remember a man or a woman is formation of the practice and practice needs time. For the best results on their big day, here are some of the best practices that can help bring better outcome and create that picture-perfect moment.

You DO IT ONCE, You Must DO IT RIGHT

Eleven essential skin care tips for #brides-to-be:

1. Start a skincare routine at least a few months before the wedding. This should include cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and using sunscreen.

2. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

3. Get enough sleep to help reduce stress and improve the overall appearance of your skin.

4. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.

5. Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to avoid irritation.

6. exfoliate your skin once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells.

7. Moisturize your skin daily to keep it hydrated and soft.

8. Have a facial done by a professional to deep clean your skin and give it a healthy glow before the big day.

9. Use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from sun damage.

10. Go for a makeup trial session before the wedding, to check if you have any allergic reaction to the makeup products.

11. IF you plan to remove facial-hair for the first-time, please do not do that immediately prior to your big day to avoid rashes. We recommend doing this in phases to get your skin accustomed to the process

Steps to get the bridal glow naturally for your big day:

1) Get enough sleep : We know that your big day is round the corner but that doesn’t mean you will compromise on your sleep, getting enough sleep is very important for your skin and hair as during sleep stress hormone cortisol falls and your skin heals with all the damages and pollution you have conquered during day time

2) Drinking right amount of water: health authorities commonly recommend drinking 2 liters of water every day. Drinking adequate amount of water helps in major health benefits, specifically for a healthy skin and hair its important to stay hydrated

Most of the factors mentioned above are already known to us but its important to get that discipline in life and have a routine in life to have a heathy life
